SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Myra Yvonne Loflin Bosko, 88, will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, Shreveport, LA. Burial will follow service at Providence Cemetery, Ringgold, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Freeman. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Yvonne (Mrs. B to many) was born on February 29, 1928 in Coushatta, Louisiana. As a leap year day baby she had just celebrated her 22nd Birthday. Yvonne was raised in Fryeburg, Jamestown and Ringgold, La. After graduating from high school she went to visit her sister in Yuma, Az. There she met a handsome young pilot Eddie Bosko. By that December they were married and spent almost 60 years together until Eddie\'s death in 2004. Together Yvonne & Eddie lived in various places because of the Air Force. At one time they lived in Shreveport, Eddie was stationed at Barksdale and Yvonne worked at City Hall for Mayor Clyde Fant and met many of their lifelong friends. They eventually had 2 daughters and then Eddie retired from the Air Force in 1961. They visited Shreveport, saw a new mall being built that had one small shop space left. They decided to open a shop in Shreve City and Bosko\'s Hobby House was born! Through the next 26 years they had a thriving hobby business which allowed them to be creative and meet so many wonderful people in the north Louisiana area. Their tiny little shop had every inch of the space covered with radio control airplanes, n-gauge trains and race cars, plastic models, needlework kits and samples, art supplies, jewelry making materials, decoupage and basket purses. After 26 years they decided to close to do other things they wanted to do. They spent time traveling, being active at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, hosting the neighbors for coffee and taking care of family and friends. They were always up for hosting whatever event needed a space. The motto of the Bosko house was always the more the merrier. When their 2 grandsons were born that just meant more fun and more traveling to visit. Yvonne loved her little blonde boys and the summers when they would come stay with Mo-Mo and Papa. Yvonne was a mom to many. She adopted all who were friends of her daughters. After Eddie\'s death she stayed in Shreveport but then moved to Carrollton, TX to be closer to her daughter, Ginger. She enjoyed having hamburgers out on their deck and celebrating any family and friend event with her famous Cajun Cookies and Amaretto Cake. In her later years, though she was stricken with dementia, she was the life of her living facility. Everyone loved her happy attitude and her constant positive reinforcement by telling every woman or man she met, how beautiful or handsome they were. Yvonne\'s positive influence will be greatly missed. Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Luther Loflin, beloved husband, Eddie Bosko, her sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Sid Short and niece, Vicki Peters. She is survived by her daughter, Stefani Quinby (Joe) of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Ginger Adams (Tom) of Carrollton, TX; grandsons, Ken and Pete Quinby of Albuquerque, NM; and cousins, nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by so many friends, who are really considered family, and they know who they are. The list is way too long!
