Yoon Sun Briggs

Yoon Sun Curry Briggs, 81, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 13, 2019. She was born May 7, 1937 in Seoul, Korea. She was a resident of Baytown, TX. Yoon Sun was a member at Bethel United Methodist Church throughout the years that she lived here, but was an active member in San Antonio and Bryan, TX while living in those areas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Briggs and in-laws, Bill and Nina Curry. She is survived by two sons, James Dean Curry and wife Mary of Beach City, TX. and Allen Curry of Houston, TX.; two stepsons, Bill Briggs and wife Shannon of Caldwell, TX and Jerry Briggs and wife Herlinda of Bryan, TX; stepdaughter, Mary Praytor and husband David of College Station, TX; three grandchildren, Jeremy Curry and wife Rebecca of Wichita Falls, TX; Leighanna McKeethen Erdmann and husband Mike of Evansville, IN and Britney McKeethen of Baytown, TX; 13 great-grandchildren; a special brother, Gary Armstrong of San Antonio, TX and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Bethel UMC with Rev. Dean Register officiating assisted by Rev. Nancy Wofford and her grandson, Jeremy Curry. Burial followed in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Alford, Anthony Lodestro, Mike Amox, Jonathon Rushton, Greg Alford and Preston Parker.
