Yakira Hamilton

A graveside service for Yakira Hamilton, 4 hours old, will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery, 13834 Johns Gin Road in Spring Ridge, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Stanley Bennett.

Yakira was born on December 5, 2022 to Jonquil Edwards and Youree Hamilton, III in Shreveport, Louisiana. She gained her wings the very same day after a short visit.

Yakira is preceded in death by her grandfather, Youree Hamilton, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Jonquil and Youree; grandmothers, Lavisha Edwards Moore, Katherine Hamilton; great-grandmothers, Patricia Edwards, Clara McKinney; and great-grandfather, Michael Taylor; sisters, Raegan  Hamilton and Nova Edwards; aunts, Chelcie Hamilton, Mia (Johnny) Marshall and Jon’qora Moore; uncles, Orlandas Stafford, Jon’quez Moore and Jon’qori Moore.

Honoring Yakira as pallbearers will be Jon’quez Moore and Jon’qori Moore. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Steve Brooks, Jr.
