Winnie Sue Hall

Winnie Sue Hall, affectionately known as "Nina" to her family and friends, passed from this world the morning of January 5, 2021 and is now resting in the arms of her Lord. Born in Oak Grove, LA on January 6, 1945, she was one of 6 children born to "Granny and Grumps." Winnie grew up in Gibsland, LA graduating from Gibsland High School in 1962. Winnie met Doug, the love of her life and they were married in July 1962. Together they made a happy home and raised 4 beautiful children in Minden. She was a splendid homemaker managing her family with tender love and care and a matchless standard of "spoiling." Nina is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Shaffer, father, Francis Shaffer and her sweetheart, James Douglas Hall. She is survived in death by her children, James Douglas Hall, Jr. and wife Donna Jo, Angela Hall Peevy and husband Brad, Tony Wade Hall and wife Angela, and Missy Hall Tolbert and husband Jamie. Her grandchildren, Whitney and husband Adam, Ryan and wife Anna, Cody and wife Emily, Kalee and husband Kyle, Peyton, Gavin, Garrett, Charleigh Jo, Toni Grace, Roman, and Chase. Her great-grandchildren, Lexi, Piper, Paisley, August and Abel. Her family was truly her pride and joy. The family would like to extend special thanks to long time friends, Sandra Stone and Mickie Plunkett. Pallbearers are grandsons Adam Bradley, Kyle Moore, Ryan Puckett, Cody Peevy, Peyton Peevy, Gavin Hall, Garret Hall, Roman Tolbert and Chase Tolbert. Services will be held at City On A Hill Pentecostal Church in Minden, LA. Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 with Funeral 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 with Rev.
