Wilma Jean Rivers

Wilma Jean Rivers, 86, of Many, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Many Healthcare North in Many, Louisiana. A graveside service will be held for her on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery in Many, LA with Fr. Timothy Hurd officiating. A visitation for Wilma will be held at  Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 9891 Texas Highway, Many, LA 71449 on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Wilma was born on June 19, 1937, in Zwolle, Louisiana to Jimmy Rivers and Ardie (Ferguson) Rivers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Ardie Rivers; her sister, Laverne Rivers Young; her brother-in-law, Hosea Joseph Ebarb.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her sister, Bobbie Ann Ebarb of Many, LA; her niece, Nelda Pilkington and husband, Roger of Many, LA; her nephew, Ricky Ebarb and wife, Debbie of Many, LA; her great nieces and nephew, Tammy Pilkington and fiancé Greg Ezernack of Many, LA, Bridget Williams and husband Joseph Payne Williams II of Natchitoches, LA, and Ryan Pilkington and wife, Alana of Many, LA; her great, great nieces and nephews, Justin Leach, Trenton Leach, Caleb Pilkington, Gavin Pilkington, Joseph Payne Williams III, Blanchard Williams, and Aubrey Williams; her great, great, great, niece and nephew, Emmy Leach and Haedyn Leach; along with a host of cousins, friends, and other family members. 

Honoring Wilma as pallbearers will be Justin Leach, Ryan Pilkington, Caleb Pilkington, Gavin Pilkington, Joseph Payne Williams III, and Tim Leone. Blanchard Williams and Trenton Leach will serve as her honorary pallbearers. 

The family of Ms. Rivers would like to extend a big thank you to the staff at Many Healthcare North and to Superior Hospice for the love and care given to their loved one in her time of need.
