William "Randy" Waldrip

William “Randy” Waldrip, 74, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on December 27, 2023. He was born on July 24, 1949, in Shreveport to William and Katherine Waldrip.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Funeral services honoring the life of Randy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Scott Shirley. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road in Shreveport. Honoring Randy as pallbearers will be John David Stalnaker, Charles Stalnaker, Anthony Brady, Scott James, Bill Burgan, and Brian Kendall. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be John Stalnaker and Lee Graves.

Randy graduated from Fair Park High School in 1967. He worked at GE for 30 years then went back to working in his area of expertise selling auto parts, most recently at Chevyland. Randy’s hobbies included working on cars, drag racing as a young adult, and watching westerns. He was a man of few words but loved his family more than anything in the world.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, William Elvin Waldrip and Katherine B. Waldrip. Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Waldrip; daughters, Holley Waldrip of Keithville, LA and Brandi Kendall and Brian of Celebration, FL; son, William “Chip” Jr and Ryan of Gulf Breeze, FL; sister, Carolyn Chatwin of Blanchard, LA; five grandchildren, Eden Dennis, Christian Kendall, Nicholas Kendall, Liam Waldrip, and Chloe Waldrip; several nieces; along with Katrina Howell (and Joe) of Texarkana, AR to whom Randy was a father figure.
