Arcadia - Funeral services will be held for William Egan Moore at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Arcadia. Bro. Bob Jamison will officiate. Interment will follow at Hurricane Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
William was born September 1, 1937, in Haynesville to Tobe Pink Madison Moore and Margaret Lula Langston Moore. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2018. William was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He graduated in 1957 from Fair Park High School in Shreveport and began his career as a professional musician before working in television broadcasting for 40 years. His career required frequent moves resulting in 13 moves in 8 different states. He then worked in logistical transportation more than a dozen years at Cabot Corporation in Pennsylvania and retired in 2006 to Arcadia where he enjoyed his retirement. William was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
William is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Pardue Moore, his parents, six brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by sons, Timothy (Erin) and Edward (Juliet) Moore; daughters, Dr. Ashley (Ami) Bhargava and Tracy (Gary) Reinholt; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; in-laws, Irene Moore, Thad Pardue, and Ellen Prell; and by a host of other relatives and friends.
