William W. Laroux

Funeral services for William Wayne Laroux 76, of Zwolle, LA will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Norsworthy officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday, August 23, 2019 at noon with a rosary being recited at 6:30 PM at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, LA; visitation will end at 10:00 PM. William W. Laroux was born July 19, 1943 to Ethel (Sepulvado) and Walter Laroux in Zwolle, LA. In 1965, he married his loving wife, Patsy Cartinez. Together, they welcomed three children; they loved to square dance, hunt, and to spend time with their family. He was always an outstanding provider to his wife and children. In 1969, he moved his family to Houston as he worked construction as a welder and iron worker. In 1970, he moved his family back to Zwolle so his first child could begin school and he began working at Willamette Industries Inc. His next work adventure would lead him to the logging industry as a saw contractor until 1989 when he became disabled due to a work-related incident. Regardless, he never allowed his disability to prevent him from living his life to the fullest. While keeping his faith, he overcame many obstacles to continue providing for his family and doing the things he loved the most. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Cartinez Laroux of Zwolle, LA; daughter, Freda Ezernack and husband, George of Noble, LA; sons, William Laroux, Jr. and wife, Sabrina of Zwolle, LA and Michael Laroux and wife, Laura of Zwolle, LA. In addition, he also leaves behind sisters, Barbara Meshell and husband, Clayton of Splendora, TX, Sue Ellen Remedies and husband, Ronnie of Zwolle, LA; brother, Charles Laroux and wife, Marcielle of Zwolle, LA; along with nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, Walter and Ethel Laroux and his sister, Annette Dowdy. Honoring William as pallbearers will be Petey Etheridge, Gerald Etheridge, Randal Etheridge, Jeremy Etheridge, Dustin Cartinez, Brandon Cartinez, Keith Meshell, and Mark Meshell. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joey Cartinez, Lance Patrick, Joseph Bryant Cartinez, and Charles Laroux, Jr.
