William Porter Johnston Sr.

Funeral services for William Porter Johnston, Sr. will be held at the Rose-Neath Chapel on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Skip Noble officiating. Family to receive friends at the funeral home for visitation on June 12, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be a private burial at a later date.   William was born December 12, 1943 in El Dorado, Arkansas to William Peary Johnston, Jr. and Dorothy Sue Bryant Johnston. He entered into rest on June 7, 2019. William was preceded in death by his parents and his fur babies Peppi and Carly.   Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Patricia Heath Johnston; sons, William Porter Johnston, Jr. and wife, Brickey Marie Johnston of Columbia, South Carolina and James Peary Johnston and wife, Kirsten Jean Johnston of Douglasville, Pennsylvania; brothers, Gene Patrick Johnston and wife, Hildi of Hot Springs, Arkansas and David Alan Johnston of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Quincey Jean Johnston, Jesse Porter Johnston, Taylor Rose Johnston, and Connor Heath Johnston; brother-in-laws, Charles Nelson, Don Nelson, James Heath and wife, Betty, and Russell Heath and wife, Carolyn; special fur babies, Georgie, Sissy, Molly, and Maggie.   In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to Regional Hospice, 8660 Fern Ave #145, Shreveport, LA 71105 or the Parkinson's Foundation, parkinsons.org   Thank you to Regional Hospice for your care, love, and support during his last day.
