William N Boswell

Shreveport, LA - William "Billy" Nelson Boswell age 59, passed away on March 24, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Billy was born to William and Edris Nelson Boswell on July 1, 1960 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from Byrd High School in 1978. Then attended Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA and graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. He had a career in Marketing and Advertising for over 30 years. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Bossier City, LA. There he frequently volunteered for the new member program. An avid golfer he was always at the ready to 'tee it up' with his friends and family- one of his many highlights were his golfing jaunts to Pebble Beach and St Andrews.. where he saw places on the courses the caddies were not even aware of! Billy was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents. He is survived by his children, Blake Boswell and wife Aimee, Benjamin Boswell and wife Chelsea; grandson, James Boswell; brother, Buddy Taylor; sister, Kathy Shaw; nephew, Blaine Taylor; nieces, Josie Taylor, Lori Mitchell, Lisa Jenkins and extended family and friends. A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Pastor Brad Jurkovich will be officiating the service. A celebration of life will be held at a later day details to follow. Honoring Billy as honorary pallbearers will be Mike Reno, Curt Thurmon, John D'Anna, Blaine Taylor, Anthony Guggliuzza, Darwin Thornhill and Buddy Taylor. In lieu of flowers church the family request donations be made to First Baptist Church of Bossier building fund, 2810 E Texas St, Bossier City, LA 71111.
