Bill was born on November 10, 1949, to William and Laura Savage in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, in Benton, Louisiana.

Bill was a graduate of Fair Park High School, and shortly after completing his education, he joined the United States Army. After completing his military service, Bill continued his commitment to public safety by joining the Benton Police Force and later the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Department, where he eventually retired.

Bill was married to the love of his life, Betta Ann Savage, and he cherished her deeply. A true jokester with a big heart, Bill loved children and brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. His legacy is one of service, kindness, and a life lived with genuine joy.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Savage and Laura R. Richardson Savage; his beloved wife, Betta Ann Savage; and his stepson, Shawn Dorran. Left to cherish his memory are his stepson, Jerry Dorann; stepdaughter, Jackie Dorann; and his brother, Gary Lynn Savage and wife, JoAnn.
