A memorial service for Wilburn “Leo” Perry, 85, will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Rev. Andrew Brewster.
Leo was born on January 27, 1940, to Eva and Earl Parks in Talihina, Oklahoma, and passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Haughton, Louisiana.
Leo graduated from Bossier High School and went on to build a life full of love and adventure. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Virginia Fatheree, on January 6, 1964, and together they shared many wonderful years.
Leo had a passion for teaching others, whether it was flint knapping, clogging, or snow skiing. He loved passing on his skills and knowledge, always eager to help others learn. His kindness, enthusiasm, and generosity touched many lives, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents and son, John Earl Perry. He is survived by his 4 children, Mike Toney, Anthony Toney, Becky Gongre, and Lorene Phillips; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
