Wesley Wayne Baker

Funeral services for Wesley Wayne Baker, 47, will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at King\'s Temple United Pentecostal Church, 8951 Kingston Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Officiating the service will be Pastor Damon Magee. Wesley was born on January 17, 1974 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Charles Wineton Baker, Sr. and Natalie Ruth Jordan Baker and passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from complications of Covid. Wesley loved life. He was an avid sportsman that loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was a Security Officer for the Caddo Parish School Board. He will sadly missed by all of his family and friends. Wesley is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pearl and John Wesley Jordan and Armalee Bonnette. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Beverly Coleman and husband, Kenny; brother, Charles Baker, Jr. and wife, Paulette; daughter, Natalie Baker; and numerous nieces. Honoring Wesley as pallbearers will be Hoyte Ford, Juan Sanchez, Carlton Wilkins, Johnny Griffin, Devon Jordan, Patrick Martin, Charles Baker, Jr. and Cameron Jordan. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Wendy Moses for all the excellent care and compassion given to Wesley during his recent illness. We greatly appreciate you.
