Wesley Lee Roy

Wesley Lee Roy of Minden, LA, was born January 25, 1930,  in Flora, LA and passed away March 2, 2023, at his daughter and son-in-law’s home in Doyline, LA with them by his side. Wesley was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jo Viola Roy; his dad, Saveran Roy; and his mother and stepdad William and Violene Blain.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy and Mike Trainor; sons, Joey and Tammy Roy, Gene and Brenda Roy, and Michael and Trish Roy; grandchildren, Stewart, Kelly (Mark), Amy Lynn (Brian), Brandi (Joe), Joni (Jason), Ashley, Tyler, Michael, Christopher (Carrie), and Alex; great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Jo, Kendall, Keira Colie, Julia, Joseph, Sailor, Eli, Ethan, Hannah, Lexi, Michael, Miranda, Adam, Alee, Jacob, Ryder and Jasper.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Chet Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends Friday, March 3, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Mark McCaa, Brian Miles, Mace Morgan, Joe McKinney, Gary Floyd and Tim Morris.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Stewart, Tyler, Michael, Christopher, Alex, and very special friend Bill Barnette.
