Wendy Elliott

“Wendy Lynn Elliott (born July 4, 1959), 67, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those who loved her on July 26, 2026 after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. While cancer ultimately claimed her life, it never for a moment defined it. Wendy will forever be remembered for the compassion she showed others, her devotion to those she loved, and the extraordinary life she built.

Wendy dedicated her professional life to a career as a registered nurse, serving as the Clinical Manager of East Minden Dialysis Center for 26 years. She spent decades serving her patients with exceptional clinical skill, kindness, and exemplary leadership. She fostered an environment of teamwork, compassion, and an unwavering drive to do right by her patients. The dialysis community will miss her deeply, but is undeniably better because she was a part of it.

Above all else, Wendy was a mother. Anyone who knew her knows that she built her life with her children at the center. She treasured every moment, every milestone, and raised two children determined to move forward in life with both the moral integrity and practical skills that she spent decades teaching by example for them. One of the greatest gifts she ever gave her children is the wife she leaves behind, the love of her life, Tina Elliott.

Wendy’s greatest joy in life was her family, both two-legged and four-legged. Her ideal peaceful morning consisted of a cup of hot tea or coffee, a comfortable chair, and surrounded by the dogs she rescued over the years. She was a wizard in the kitchen, often preparing delicious meals for her loved ones to gather around. She found enjoyment in always pursuing a healthier lifestyle, frequently walking three miles a day with her Woodle, Marley, and resistance training at the gym multiple times a week. She enjoyed traveling with Tina and the rest of her family, seeing as much of the world as she could.

Wendy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elroy and Adelia Tatge, and her father, Phillip Hodge.

She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Hodge, her wife, Tina Elliott, her two children, Jack Tracy and Samantha Crates, her sisters Cortney Hodge, Cheryl Hodge, and Michelle Whatley, her best friend Steve Williams, two bonus children Dominic Whatley and April Smith, numerous loving friends, and last but not least her eight loyal dogs: Bebe, Momo, Bucky, Max, Lil Man, Lil Bit, Piper, and Marley.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, LA, on Sunday August 2, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Ninna’s Road to Rescue.“
