Wayland Bradley Bearden, 71, of Bossier City, LA, tragically passed away in an accident on August 6th, 2025. Bradley was born on July 10, 1954, in Meridian, Texas, to the late Ivan and Maxine Bearden. The family later relocated to Natchitoches, LA, where he graduated from Natchitoches Central High School in 1972. He continued his education at Northwestern State University, graduating in 1977. Bradley enjoyed a distinguished career as a salesman for over 30 years. After retiring, he took on a part-time position at Anytime Fitness, where he became part of a special group of men known as the ROMEOs—Retired Old Men Eat Out.
In 2022, Bradley met his beloved wife, Janet, and the two were married in 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Maxine Bearden. Bradley is survived by his wife, Janet Bearden; his daughter, Cynthia Leonards (Ronnie Armstrong), and granddaughters, Chloe Pitre (Terry Comeaux) and Addison Leonards; his daughter, Christie (William) Bankard, and grandchildren, Carli, Lyla, and Bryce Bankard; his sister, Eleece (Cloyd) Moll, and their son, Chase (Kara) Moll, along with their son, Cody Moll; his brother, Bryan (Janelle) Bearden, and their children, Ian Bearden (Saeyde Troupe) and Ava Bearden; his brother, Bruce (Ruth) Bearden, and their children, Savanna (Robert) Madden, Christian Bearden (Trinity Mack), and their daughter, Sophie Bearden, along with many other cousins and friends.
Bradley and Janet were devoted to their church, offering their time each week to the local food bank and lovingly restoring and maintaining the church's beautiful prayer garden. Bradley also had an immense love for dogs, especially his beloved Sampson and Zoe, who were his treasured companions.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, LA 71101. Following the service, a reception will take place at Rose-Neath Funeral Home with food, beverages, and fellowship, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather and share cherished memories.
