Wanda Janelle Saucier

A graveside service for Wanda Janelle Saucier, 93, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Deacon John Bascoe.

Janelle was born on March 9, 1933 in Winnfield, Louisiana to John and Lena White and passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She was a devoted wife and a giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Before retirement, she worked at KOKA Shreveport Radio Station. She was a faithful volunteer at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L. Saucier and grandson, Robert Beau Lucas. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cynthia Lee Saucier Lucas and husband, Jay R. Lucas, Sr.; two grandchildren, Lauren Lee Lucas Carpenter and husband, Austin W. Carpenter and J. Rich Lucas, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Saucier Carpenter, Luke Briscoe Carpenter and Kate Cecile Carpenter; nieces, Amy Saucier and Gail Howell; nephew, J.C. Saucier and brother-in-law, Charles Saucier; sister-in-law, Floy Saucier.
