Wanda D. Rivers

Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Wanda Dean Jeter Rivers will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle, Louisiana with Fr. Jean Bosco Uwamungu officiating; interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. A visitation for her will begin on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being said at 6:00 PM. The visitation will continue before the funeral from 8:00 AM-10:00 AM at the funeral home. Wanda was born September 7, 1947 in Many, Louisiana to Mary (Gandy) Jeter and William F. "Dub" Jeter, Jr. and she entered into rest on February 4, 2021 in Zwolle, Louisiana. Wanda was a lifelong educator that began at home first with her own family. She touched a lot of students over her 23 years of being in the classroom at Ebarb School. After retiring from the Sabine Parish School Board, she home schooled several children and was a housekeeper for many families. Reading was a passion she loved to do in her spare time. Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.F. "Dub" Jeter, Jr.; her husband of 52 years, Benny Ray Rivers; her infant daughter, Sonya Ann Rivers; her grandson, Logan Brant; her sisters-in-law, Wanda Jean Jeter and Bobbie Ann Ezernack; and her brothers-in-law, Terry "Cheese" Rivers and Timothy Dean "T. D." Rivers. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Alisa Craig & husband, Cleve, Amy Sepulvado & husband, Chris, Shane Rivers, April Rivers, Angela Sepulvado & husband, Steven, and Amelia Morgan & husband, Michael. She also leaves behind her 21 grandchildren, Damon Craig & fiancé, Jennifer Ninh, Dayton Craig, Mary Craig, Meghan Meshell & husband, Steven, Raygan Sepulvado, Ben Remedies, Dominic Sepulvado, Brenten Rivers & fiancé, Taylor McMellon, Shaelyn Rivers, Kody Franklin, Erin Rivers, Dallas Britt & wife, Kiley, Riley Britt, Charlea Britt, Grantley Sepulvado, Brynley Sepulvado, Auldyn Sepulvado, Maci Morgan, Kayli Morgan, and Hadli Morgan. In addition, she leaves behind her 12 great grandchildren, MaKayden, DeLaney, Sophie, Sadie-Mae, Luke, & Millie Meshell, Karley & Langston Sepulvado, Bentley Remedies, Carter Craig, Baylor Britt, and Owen Rivers. Siblings left to mourn her passing include, Beverly Rials & husband, Don, Brenda Jeter, John Jeter, and Tommy Jeter. In conclusion, she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Damon Craig, Dayton Craig, Benjamin Remedies, Dominic Sepulvado, Dallas Britt, Riley "Chuck" Britt, Brenten Rivers, Grantley Sepulvado and Reed Jeter. Auldyn Sepulvado will serve as honorary pallbearer for her. The family would like to thank Melissa Vines, NP, Lisa Flynt, RN, Vernon Home Health, and Superior Hospice for taking such good care of Mrs. Wanda.
