Wanda Leigh Richardson

Graveside services for Wanda Leigh Richardson, 88, will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery on Highway 79 in Panola, Texas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Harry Forester.

Wanda was born on March 21, 1934 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Tollie and Alice Hines and passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Wanda was married for 58 years to her late husband, Don Richardson. She was a homemaker that derived great joy from her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She loved singing at her church, Emmanuel Baptist Church. She spent many happy summers camping with her family at Lake Greeson in Arkansas.       

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Don Richardson; daughter, Linda Sanders; son, Don Richardson, Jr.; and granddaughter, Billie Michelle McDaniel. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ramona McDaniel (Billy), Brad Richardson (Ellen), Judy Richardson; great-granddaughter, Haley Dean; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express special thanks to Regional Hospice, the staff at Live Oak and Burt Grubbs for the excellent care and compassion given to Wanda.     

The family suggests memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
