Shreveport, LA - Services for Wanda Y. Lawson will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bentley, LA. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Rose-Neath Bossier. Wanda was born December 23, 1949 in Shreveport, LA and passed away January 22, 2019 in Shreveport, LA. Before retirement, she was a barber. She was an avid LSU fan and was always the "Life" at any get-together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mildred Pettway; infant son and brothers, J.C. Pettway and Kearny Pettway. Wanda is survived by her husband, Larry D. Lawson, Sr.; son, Larry D. Lawson, Jr.; grandchildren, Chance V. Edwards and Faith Lawson and siblings, Nellie P. Meador, Estelle P. Wilkins, Hershell Pettway, Charlene P. Faulkner and R. Glynn Pettway. Honoring Wanda as pallbearers will be, Peyton Branton, Shane Bolfer, Larry D. Lawson, Jr., Gerald k. Wilkins, Ethan S. Wilkins, Martin Pettway and Douglas Wilkins.
