Wanda Sue Deas

Services celebrating the life of Wanda Sue Huey Deas, age 70, will be held at 10am on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Roseneath Funeral Home, Mansfield, La. Officiating will be Rev. Weyland Gauntt and Rev. Bob Latham. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 5pm - 7pm at Roseneath Funeral Home Mansfield, La.   Wanda was born September 27, 1948 in Logansport, La and entered into rest, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, June 21, 2019 in Mansfield, La.   She was preceded in death by her parents L.U. and Doris Huey, daughter Sonya Shaw, sister Sissy Kelly, brother Marvin Huey, brother-in-law Don Stephens and step-son Andy Chauvin.   She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Larry Deas; daughter Sissy Hall and husband Matthew of Shreveport, La; son Chad Deas and wife Melinda of Stonewall, La. and son-in-law Richard Shaw of Converse, La. Sisters - Pat Stephens, Vivian Hornsby and husband David; brother L.U. "Bubba" Huey III and wife Tina, all of Mansfield, La. Grandchildren Raelyn and Trevor Heyen, Joseph Hall, Kyle Deas, Shepard and Spencer Harvill, Jonathan Deas, Mattie Hall, Annie Shaw, Micah Deas, Hendrix Hall and Kristin Chauvin. Numerous nieces, nephews and special friends who she loved like family. She was retired from Western Electric & spent her days after babysitting her grandkids.   To know her was to love her and her infectious laugh and smile will never be forgotten.   We will remember her always and hold fast to 2 Timothy 4:7- "I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith..."
