Walter Hugh Spillyards, Jr.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Walter Hugh Spillyards, Jr., 60, will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Converse, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Converse, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Reverend Ronnie Sandifer. Walter was born on February 18, 1961 to Walter Hugh Spillyards, Sr. and Paulette Barbara Buras in Converse, Louisiana and passed away on October 6, 2021 in Converse, Louisiana. Walter was a resident of Converse, Louisiana and worked as a pattern maker for quite some time. An outdoorsman, Walter enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He had an affinity for racing and loved all things involving racecars. At the end of the day, Walter was a family man, and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hugh Spillyards, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kristy Spillyards; mother, Paulette Golden; sons, Jason Spillyards and wife, Kim, James Ray Campbell and wife, Holly; daughters, Jennifer Cutrer and husband, Phillip, Danette Rodgers and husband, Andrew; brothers Danny Spillyards and wife, Sally, Donny Spillyards and wife, Margaret; 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
