Walter C. Packer

Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Walter Curtis Packer will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Bethsadia Baptist Church with Brother David Martinez officiating; interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation for him will be held before the funeral from 11:00AM-2:00 PM at Bethsadia Church in Many, LA. Curtis was born April 10, 1929 in Mansfield, LA to Florence (Black) Packer and Walter H. Packer and he entered into rest on November 12, 2020 in Many, LA. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Walter H. Packer; his wife, Eleanor R. (Pruett) Packer; and his brother, Ruben James Packer. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sandy Tankersley & husband, Lynn of Florien, LA; his son, Michael Packer of Zwolle, LA. He also has 3 grandchildren, Alicia Rios & husband, Brian of Shreveport, LA, David Gentry & wife, Kathryn of Many, LA, and Chris Gentry & wife, Betty of Many, LA; and 3 great grandchildren, Elijah Gentry, Jaxon Gentry, and Xander Gentry. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Mike Packer, David Gentry, Chris Gentry, Lynn Tankersley, Ray McCormick, Jr., and Ebulon Springer.
