Walter "Dude" Middlebrooks

Walter "Dude" Middlebrooks, of Shreveport, LA, died on June 9, 2023 at age 99.

Dude was born in Patmos, AR on March 17, 1924 to Louis and Birdie Middlebrooks. He was a loving husband and father of two, and a dedicated servant of God.

He leaves his wife of 81 years, Genny Middlebrooks, and outlived his two sons, David Middlebrooks and Sam Middlebrooks.

He is further survived by his daughter-in-law, Sheryl Middlebrooks and his two grandsons: Reid Middlebrooks and wife, Carrie, and their two daughters, Ella and Lauren; and Paul Middlebrooks and wife, Catherine, and their daughter, Nora and son, Wes.

Dude's services to the church, community, friends, and family are too many to count, as are the stories, smiles, and laughs he gifted us.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Willis Dear.
