Walter Freeman Kent

Funeral services for Walter Freeman Kent, 93, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery, 5382 Primitive Church Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Elder Joe Asbell will officiate the service.

Freeman was born on December 23, 1931 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Walter and Mildred Kent and passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mildred Kent; wife, Joyce Elaine Kent and brothers, Marvin Kent, Duane Kent and Lamar Kent. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Steve Kent and wife, Cynde and Richard Kent and wife, Diana and sister, Hollis Kent Watson and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
