Wallace Patrick Shaw

Shreveport, LA - Wallace Patrick Shaw (Rick) age 79, passed away on March 11, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Shaw was born to Jessie Mayfield and Obra Brown Shaw on June 5, 1940 in Shreveport, Louisiana. After graduating from Fair Park High School in 1958 he joined the U.S. Marine Corp. Rick served his community through banking for over 32 years, and was a servant in his church at Summer Grove Baptist Church for 35 years. He touched countless lives through his community service, years of coaching and work in the church. He went from sitting behind a desk to riding a lawn mower, and loved getting up daily to cut lawns throughout Shreveport and Bossier area. We will greatly miss his passion for Fox News and LSU football. He made sure his wife and family knew they were dearly loved. He has left a great legacy. Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Carol Ann Shaw; sons, Craig Alan Shaw and Greg Russell Shaw; and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Suzette Shaw; son, Scot Shaw and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Tyler, Shelby, Levi, Avery, Abby, Benjamin, Aubrey, and Brock; great grandchildren, Katie, Bryson and Hayden. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Summer Grove Baptist Church, 8924 Jewella Ave. Shreveport, LA. Brother Billy Crosby will be officiating the service. Graveside services will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery, 797 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, LA.
