Virginia Ruth Wimberley

Funeral services for Virginia "Ginger" Ruth Wimberley, 69, will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Zwolle City Cemetery in Zwolle, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Ginger was born on October 10, 1952 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Alvin Brandon and Patsy Ruth Mouser Brandon and passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ginger was very caring and dedicated to her husband and her fur babies, Sophia and Buster! She loved the Lord and beautiful Christian music. She will be missed by her family but we know she is at peace. Ginger was a resident of Shreveport and was a supervisor for Bell South for 32 years before retiring. She loved baking. She conquered learning to bake beautiful cakes. She could see it in a magazine and replicate it exactly. She was a total perfectionist. She baked the most fabulous cookies and was always sharing them with her family and friends. She loved gardening and had a beautiful yard. Ginger is preceded in death by her father, Jack Brandon, grandparents, Webb and Mattie Blackwell Brandon; grandparents, David and Azzela Smith Mouser; and stepdaughter, Heather Wimberley. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Herschel Wimberley; stepdaughter, Holly Boyer and husband, Chad; mother, Patsy Brandon; brothers, Jimmy Brandon and Timmy Brandon; nephew, Derrick Brandon; and niece, Nicole Dove. Honoring Ginger as pallbearers will be Derrick Brandon, Josh Brandon, Chad Boyer, Jack Maschino, Tad Dove, and Buddy Brandon.
