Virginia Beauton Huitt

Virginia Beauton Huitt, 93, was born June 10, 1932 in Brighton, TN and lived most of her life in Shreveport. She went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2025.

Beauton was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth after 53 years of marriage; her parents, Leslie and May Rose; sisters, Mildred Rose and Geraldine Harrell; brother, Franklin Rose; and grandson, Kevin Huitt.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Wayne Huitt and his wife, Jennean of Canon City, CO; a daughter, Connie Dennis of Bossier City, LA; a granddaughter, Deidre Anderson and her husband, Mark of Woodstock, GA; grandsons, David and Matthew Huitt of Colorado Springs, CO, great-granddaughters, Annie and Ella Anderson and Audry Huit; and great-grandsons, Jack and Lucas Anderson.

Beauton was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother who loved serving the Lord by doing for others by caring about even the smallest details of the lives of those around her. She could often be found baking a pound cake or sending a note of encouragement to someone in need. Although never professionally trained, she was an excellent nurse and natural caregiver having taken care of several family members with extended illnesses including her husband, Kenneth, and her sister, Gerry. She loved being outside working in her yard and tending to her flowers. She laughed easily, loved well, and our family is blessed to have called her ours. Beauton wanted to convey her deepest love and appreciation to the families of Harlan and Johnny Huitt and Herb and Patricia Hubbard for continuing to love and care for her after their brother/uncle, Kenneth, had passed away.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave. in Shreveport, LA.
