Virginia was born in Dermott, AR, but called Shreveport home. Grand loved steak dinners for birthdays, spending time with family, doing puzzles, reading books, and playing cards, Rook and Hand and Foot. We have fond memories of watching her favorite shows together, Big Brother and Survivor. She was proud of her work as a pharmacy technician. She received "Recognition of 20 Years of Service to Whites Compounding Pharmacy" Award. This award honored her work ethic by named her a "lifetime employee." In retirement, she volunteered for over seven years at Northwest Louisiana Interfaith Pharmacy helping people with limited resources get their medications. She was placed on the "Wall of Fame" celebrating her dedicated service. Virginia was a fun-loving spirt and never met a stranger. We will always remember her gentle smile.
Virginia is survived by her children, John and wife Violet, Jeff, Jennifer and husband Tim; grandchildren, Marilyn, Joanie and husband Will, Zachary, Megan, and Maxwell; great-grandchild, Jackson; sister, MinnieBell and children, Glenn, Loretta, Connie and Spencer; brother, Roy and wife Shirley; cherished friends, Colleen, Mary Anne, and Cindy, the Callaway family, Aunt Bett and Aunt Nell; and countless extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, John Ross Callaway; brothers and sisters, Christine, her twin lost at birth, Alvin, Calvin, Julius, Mary Alice, JW and son Dennis; niece, Michelle; her beloved Aunt Sue; mother, Fadra; and father, Lee Arthur, also known as blondie. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
