Vernon Dale Fair, Sr.

Mansfield, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Vernon Dale Fair, Sr., 91, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Rose-Neath's Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Rev. Russell LeFleur and Chaplain Clinton Arnold officiating. Private burial will be held at Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery in Keithville, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Mansfield Funeral Home on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Vernon was born November 16, 1926, in Shreveport, LA to Archie Vernon and Cloe Rena Griffin Fair and passed away on September 26, 2018, in Mansfield, LA. Vernon served in the United States Navy for 26 years. He worked with Admiral McCain's staff and formerly at the Pentagon as a Communication Specialist. He was loving husband, father, and grandfather. Preceding Vernon in death were his parents; and two daughters, Carol Fair Peacock and Robin Fair Hogg. Those left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 70 years, Hilda McGee Fair of Mansfield, LA; sons, Randal Ray Fair and wife Hilda Sue of Mansfield, LA, Vernon Dale Fair, Jr. and wife Catherine of Vacaville, CA; daughter, Hilda Fair Rives and husband Judson of Mansfield, LA; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
