Funeral services for Vernon Charles Berry will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Pastor Bill R. Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory with military rites. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon Tuesday.
Vernon was born September 6, 1925 in Royce, Mississippi and entered into rest August 25, 2018 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Wesley and Agnes, wife; Helen Berry, and daughter; Faye Vogt.
He is survived by his son; Ray Berry and wife Bonnie of Metairie, daughter; Kathryn Drouant and partner Travis Taylor of Minden, brothers; Foster C. Berry and Verde Leo Berry, grandchildren; Laura Berry, Renee Peacock, David Drouant. Lynn Allen, Helen Partin, and Phillip Vogt, and great-grandchildren; Clifton Peacock, Kae Clevenger, Justin Bunch, Aaron Bunch, Codie Routon, Leslie Routon, Bailey Ortiz, Sam Vogt, and Logan Vogt, and great great-grandchildren; Romona Rice, Olivia Rowton, Samuel Rowton, Amoria Rowton, Catherine Bunch, Charlotte Bunch, and Phenix Bunch.
