A visitation for Velmer Lavern Killensworth, 59 will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Velmer was born June 25, 1963, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Elmer Harris and Iris Howell Harris, and was called home to rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord, surrounded and comforted by family on May 30, 2022. Velmer loved to cook for her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading romance novels. She was cherished by all and will be greatly missed. Velmer is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Iris D. Harris. She is survived by her husband, Larry Killensworth; daughter, Alethia Hall; four grandchildren; brothers, Eric Harris and wife, Brenda, Elmer Harris and wife, Heather, Juan Harris and wife, Janet; along with several nieces and nephews.
