Valery Loy McDonald

Funeral services honoring the life of Valery Loy McDonald will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Mitchell Baptist Church in the Mitchell Community at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Bobby Russell officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation at Mitchell Baptist Church on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Mitchell Cemetery in the Mitchell Community. Valery was born on October 31, 1943 in Converse, LA to Bertie & Alice McDonald and entered into rest on Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Converse, LA. Valery was an avid outdoorsman with hunting being his favorite sport. He loved to fox hunt along with deer, turkey and coons on occasion. He is preceded in death by his parents Bertie & Alice McDonald and his sister & brother-in-law Francis & Jerry Simmons & nephew Jerry Lynn Simmons. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Juanita Brown McDonald of Converse, LA; son, Nathan McDonald & wife Sabrina of Jonesboro, Louisiana; daughter, Lisa Dyess & husband Darryl of Converse, Louisiana; brother, Talton McDonald & wife Joyce of Converse, Louisiana; grandsons, Logan McDonald, Landon McDonald, Clint Houston and wife Jacklyn and his personally adopted grandchildren Zaylee & Autumn Hayes along with a host of nephews, a niece, family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley McDonald, Dan Campbell, Boogie Campbell, Carlton Campbell, Daniel Campbell, Bill Campbell, Jason Campbell & Timbo Sepulvado.
