Truby Gay Denham Colvin

Funeral services for Truby “Gay” Denham Colvin, 86, of Shreveport, LA will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA with Dr. Murry Hodge officiating. Interment to follow in Colvin Memorial Cemetery in Unionville, LA at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Mrs. Colvin was born May 4, 1936 in Bernice, Louisiana and passed away on January 7, 2023. She was a loving mother, nana, and friend who lived to serve others. She was very involved at Summer Grove Baptist Church. She taught in Children’s Sunday School, sang in the church choir, played piano for nursing homes ministry, and made many desserts to take to the sick. She served as a teacher’s aide at Keithville Middle School for several years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her joy was having her grandchildren over to play cards and keep them as much as possible. She is survived by her children, Mona Cockerham, and her husband Ray; Perri Campbell, and her husband Patrick; grandchildren: Kyle, Ethan & Emma Cockerham, Cameron & Colin Campbell; nieces, nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Billy Graham Ministry.
