Tracey Blevins

Tracey Ervin Blevins left this life to go to her eternal reward on August 16, 2021, after a brief illness. Left to cherish her memory are her father, Robert Ervin, and her step-mother, Carolyn, both of Minden. She is also survived by an Uncle, William Ervin, Jr. and wife, Edie of Roseville, CA, Aunt, JoAnn Barmore of Etters, PA and Aunt Dee Falzarano of New York. And also, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Bobby) Ervin, her mother, Dale Ervin and her grandparents. Tracey missed her mother and brother so much, so I know there is rejoicing in heaven as we are drying our tears. Tracey was born in Hampton, VA on June 10, 1973. She was from a military family so she moved many times during her life, even living in Hawaii at one time. She graduated high school from Pontchatoula High and then went on to Louisiana Tech to graduate there with a degree in education, although she did find employment outside of that field. At the time of her death, she was working for the State of Louisiana Race Commission. Tracey had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. At the time of her death, she was a member of North Acres Baptist Church where she worked for many years with the children in Kids Church. She loved children although she never had any of her own. She loved her church and her church family. As she posted on facebook, God, I know that You are good and Your steadfast love endures forever. She had a love for animals. She left behind three of her best friends-her dog, Derby and two cats, Ebie and Lena. They miss her so much. Services will be held at Rose-Neath Chapel in Minden, Louisiana at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021, with Bro. Wayne Dubose officiating. Interment will follow at Minden Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm. Thursday prior service time. Pallbearers will be Randy Ward, Randall Carter, Phillip Dillard, Keith Johnson, C.L. Johnson, and Bobby Igo. Rose-Neath Funeral Home 211 Murrell Street Minden, Louisiana 71055 (318) 377-3412
