Tonya Michelle Arnold

Tonya Michelle Arnold, 39, of Shreveport, LA passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 after a sudden illness. Funeral services for Mrs. Arnold will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Brother Jim Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Haughton Cemetery in Haughton, Louisiana. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath. 

Tonya was born, Monday, October 17, 1983, in Shreveport, LA to Katherine McGill and entered into rest Thursday, July 27, 2023. Tonya grew up in Shreveport and loved spending time outdoors. She loved to hunt and fish. In 2007 Tonya met her soul mate and the love of her life, Brandon Arnold, who was also an avid outdoorsman. They spent the next 16 years raising their four beautiful children and spending every moment they could together hunting, fishing, or hosting get-togethers for the family. Tonya absolutely loved it when the family got together to play games, play music, or just sit around a fire cracking jokes about each other. She had a million-dollar smile and inherited her mother’s contagious laugh. She was always the life of the party. 

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 10 years, Brandon Arnold and their four babies, Tristen, Brooklyne, Brandon Lee, and Prezley “Bitty;” brothers, Les Davis and wife, Sheri of Greenwood, LA, Michael McCroan of Haughton, LA, Bo McGill and wife, Cortney of Stonewall, LA, Daniel Pope and wife, Lauren of Stonewall, LA; sisters, Brittany Griffin and husband, Taylor of Shreveport, LA, Victoria Woods and husband, Chris of Cameron, LA; father-in-Law, Robert Arnold and wife, Sandi of Keithville, LA; brothers-in-law, Chad Arnold of Keithville, LA, Robby Arnold of Keithville, LA; sister-in-law, Brittney Arnold and fiancé, Chad Lang of Elm Grove, LA; mother-in-law, Shelia Calloway and husband, Erik of Elm Grove, LA; and more than 30 nieces and nephews, and many more cousins and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her mother, Katherine McGill; sister, Shay McGill; grandmother, Barbara Martin; nephew, Jackson Griffin; and grandfather, ‘Big Daddy’ Cox. She is survived by her husband, Brandon Arnold; her children, Tristen, Brooklyne, Brandon Lee, and Prezley ‘Bitty’; fathers, Calvin McGill and Cliff Davis and wife, Sharon.

Honoring Tonya as pallbearers will be Jarrard Dean, Chad Arnold, Taylor Griffin, James Schevers, Lance Cox, Kenton Thomas, and Les Davis. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Mario Mitcham, John Gullo, and Daniel Pope.
