Tommy Simmons, 79, of Mansfield, La. Passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Tommy was born on October 7, 1946 in Mansfield, La to C.W. Simmons and Nita Simmons. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and faithful friend. He enjoyed Horses, hunting, fishing, gardening, woodwork, traveling and spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He worked as a Pattern Maker for many years and was promoted to Plant Supervisor retiring in 2006 with 40 years of service. He was a 1965 graduate of Mansfield High School where he was an accomplished athlete. What Tommy loved most was traveling with Judy to their favorite destinations of the mountain or the beach.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Nita Simmons, brother, Wayne (Butch) Simmon, and grandson Jonathan Clemons.

 Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years Judy Troegel Simmons, son Robert Bryan Simmons (Laura), daughters Susan Mitcham (Randy), Shelley Denton (John). Grandchildren, Robbie Simmons (Wendy), Matthew Simmons, Jude Robbins, Corrie Horn, Darcy Walters (Ryan), Forrest Wooten, Lauren Clemons, Calli Morelock (Micah), Michael Dugan, Jr. (Taylor), Dustin Dugan (Lidia), Shyanne Denton. Great-Grandchildren, Trey Simmons, Amberly Simmons, Noah Simmons, Julie Horne, Jackson May, Kollin Mercer (Amanda), Jase Morelock, Breighly Morelock, Edith Dugan, Owen Dugan, Cole Dugan, Adalynn Call. Great grandchild Sutton, Mercer (due in August); brother, Mike Simmons (Carolyn); sister, Lynita Yarbrough (George) and sister-in-law Dorothy Simmons.

Pallbearers: Grandsons Robbie Simmons, Michael Dugan, Dustin Dugan, Trey Simmons, Kollin Mercer and Micah Morelock. Honorary Pallbearers are Jude Robbins, Tommy Hall, Joe Craig Fleniken, Ross Hunt and Curtis Barber.

Funeral Services for Tommy will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Roseneath with service to follow immediately. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, LA. Officiating the services will be Brother Jimmy Price and Rev. Barry Morehead.
