Tommy Edward Holman

Funeral services for Tommy Edward Holman, 66, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside with Rick Phipps officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at the funeral home. Tommy was born January 27, 1953 in Natchitoches, LA and went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2019. Tommy was very athletic growing up. He was a swimmer and earned the chance to try out for the Junior Olympics. He also played football and baseball growing up and played in college as well. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, mowing the yard, and taking care of wildlife. He also enjoyed inventing things and had three of his creations patented. Tommy was the kind of person who always put others first and never met a stranger. He was a family man first and foremost. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Hilrey and Dixie Holman and grandsons, Tristin and Kasen Holman. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Marsha Treadway Holman; sons, Robby Holman and wife Amanda, Gary Holman and wife Melissa, and Brian Holman; grandchildren, Bailey, Reese, Addie, Kaynnon, and Kaylynn Holman; brother, Larry Holman and wife Cindy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be Jeff Hall, James Hall, Matt Ramsey, David Comer, Fred Gault, Steve Parker, Jr., and Charlie Hubier. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Holman, Gene Ramsey, Ronnie Norwood, and Jason Phillips. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family would like to give a special thanks to his doctor and the nurses and staff of Fresenius Kidney Care Natchitoches, St. Joseph Hospice for their care, and to the Ramsey family. Tommy fought cancer courageously, never gave up his faith or hope. He stayed positive until the end. Tommy didn't quit, his body did.
