Tommy Wayne Gowan

Funeral services for Tommy Wayne Gowan, 74, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be held at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Dennis Aaron.

Tommy was born on November 4, 1951 to Charlie and Mamie Gowan in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away September 21, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music, cooking and working around the property with Addy. He always said “this is the best place I’ve ever lived”. He was an avid football and NASCAR fan. He loved his company and the people in it, they were like a second family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Gowan and brother-in-law, Gary Garrison. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon Gowan; daughters, Addy Gowan and Kim Schultz and husband, Tom; bonus daughters, Dawn Miller and husband, Jason and Marti Bailey and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Kaycee Cox (Pake), Cole Bailey (Maci), Taylor Roberts (Wesley), Harlee Schultz, Cody, Dalton and Magen Gentry; great-grandchildren, Pace Cox and Cauley Bailey (Jan. 2027); sister, Kay Garrison and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Tommy as pallbearers will be Gary Bailey, Cole Bailey, Pake Cox, Jason Miller, Brandon Smith and Tom Schultz. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be David Mayfield and John Smith.
