Tommy L. Carter

Funeral services for Tommy L. Carter will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Doyline Louisiana with Bro. Jerry Pate officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Doyline. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2026, at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana.

Tommy was born March 30, 1944, in Doyline, Louisiana and went to his heavenly home on October 16, 2026, in Arcadia, Louisiana.

Tommy married Mildred “Fancy” Jones December 18, 1964, and reared two sons and a daughter. He was an excellent provider and family-oriented man who always placed family first. His greatest joy was watching old westerns and having family visits. He didn’t always have much to say, but when he did talk it was worth listening to.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas M. and Carrie L. Carter, siblings, Frank, Johnny, Clyde, Clifton Carter, and Dixie Hanson,

He is survived by his wife, Mildren “Fancy” Carter; sons, Gary T. Carter and wife Tammy, Bruce E. Carter and wife Robin; daughter, Carrie V. Thornton; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
