Timothy D. Rivers

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Timothy Dean (T.D.) Rivers will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Francis Kamau officiating; interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. A visitation for him will begin on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. His visitation will continue on Saturday morning from 8:00 AM-9:30 AM. T. D. was born June 26,1964 in Zwolle, LA to Elzado (Sepulvado) Rivers and Robert O. Rivers and he entered into rest on January 20, 2021 in Shreveport, LA. He was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. His faith was as big as his heart! He never met a stranger, was a friend to all and was a great Christian man. T. D. took pride in everything he did; no matter if it was a logging job he was working on or preparing a loving meal for family and friends. You could always find him helping others in their time of need and/or working for his church and community. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert O. Rivers; his sister, Bobbie Ann Ezernack; his brothers, Benny "Dude" Rivers, Terry "Cheese" Rivers; and his brothers-in-law, Rudolph Ezernack, and Billy R. Ezernack. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Darlene (Ebarb) Rivers; his son, Kirt Rivers and wife, Brittany of Zwolle, LA, his son, Trevor Rivers and wife, Taylor of Noble, LA; his daughter, Tiffany Craig and husband, Michael of Zwolle, his daughter, Trisha Moore and husband, Patrick of Belmont, LA; his sister, Kay L. Ezernack of Zwolle, LA, his sister, Brenda Carter and husband, Doug of Keithville, LA, his sister, Janice Lewis and husband, Randy of Zwolle, LA, his sister, Gloria Carrier and husband, Mike of Eunice, LA; his brother, Howard Rivers of Zwolle, LA, his brother, Larry Rivers and wife, Sandra of Zwolle, LA, his brother, Joe Rivers and wife, Shirley of Many, LA, his brother, Roger Dale Rivers of Zwolle, LA; his father-in-law, Richard T. (Scooter) Ebarb of Noble, LA; his sister-in-law, Wanda Rivers, and his sister-in-law, Jane Rivers of Zwolle, LA; he also has 13 grandchildren that were the loves of his life. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Lance Rivers, Delayne Rivers, Dakota Rivers, Josh Lewis, Waylon Laroux, Preston Rivers, Dayton Craig, and Cord Ezernack. His honorary pallbearers will be his nephews. The family would like to thank the amazing hospital staff at Christus Highland Hospital, Dr. Scott Howard, Dr. Jeffrey German, Dr. Meghan Harris, and Kindred at Home in Natchitoches. In conclusion the family would like to remind everyone to please wear their mask while paying their respects at the visitation and at the funeral.
