Thomas Calvin Welborn

Funeral service for Thomas Calvin "Cooter" Welborn will be held at Southside Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Larry Pridmore officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation at the church on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be held at Pelican Cemetery.   Thomas was born on November 4, 1933 in Pelican, Louisiana to Roy Waymon Welborn and Sybil Hight-Welborn. He entered into rest on July 26, 2019 in Mansfield, Louisiana.   Mr. Welborn honorably served in the United States Army for two years and was a Korean War Veteran. He retired as owner/operator of his landscaping business.   He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Maryann Baker-Welborn.   Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Roy Welborn and wife Marie and sister, LaJuana Shirley.   Pallbearers for Mr. Welborn will be Ronnie Hill, Frank Leone, Randy Gallaspy, Frank West, Glen Wilburn, and Jimmy Beene.   Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Childress.
