Thomas Ray Sistrunk

Funeral services honoring the life of Thomas Ray Sistrunk, 78, of Converse, Louisiana, will be held at Mitchell Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Russell officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034. Thomas was born on August 3, 1943, to Morris and Maggie Sistrunk in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. He passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Sistrunk; his parents, Morris and Margie Sistrunk; and his brother, Mark Austin. Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Jack Sistrunk and his wife, Debbie, Pete Sistrunk and his wife, Betty, and a host of nieces and nephews. Honoring the life of Thomas as pallbearers will be Eric Johnson, Clint Sistrunk, Lil Mark Austin, Clint Houston, Darryl Dyess, Michael Placencia. Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Placencia and Ricky McPherson. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Mitchell Baptist Church, 15780 Highway 174, Converse, LA 71419.
