Thomas Owen Wilson

Funeral services for Thomas Owen Wilson, 91, will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Officiating the service will be Rev. Billy Crosby. Tom was born on November 18, 1929 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Owen Bryan Wilson and Effie Juanita Moseley Wilson and passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Tom proudly served our country for four years with the Air Force and retired from AT&T after 33 years of service. He grew up in the Queensborough area in the 30's and 40's and graduated from Fair Park High School in 1946. He loved RVing with his wife, Ruth, and their sweet pup, Maggie. Tom is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Al Wilson; sister, Evelyn Wilson Champion and brother-in-law, James Champion. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 67 years, Ruth Wilson; daughters, Janice M. Wilson and Sherri W. Klepper; granddaughter, Dr. Emily L. Klepper; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Tom as pallbearers will be family and friends. The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee or the Shriners Hospital in Shreveport.
