Funeral services were held for Mr. Thomas Glenn Howell, age 84, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Homer, LA, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Robert McGaha, officiated. Interment followed near Dubach, LA, at Corinth Cemetery. Visitation was at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 9-10 a.m., prior to the service. Mr. Howell was born March 24, 1938, in Claiborne Parish, LA, to James Thomas and Sallie Stevenson Howell. He entered into rest on Friday, May 27, 2022, at his home in Homer, LA. After he graduated from high school, Mr. Howell met and married his Sweetheart, Nancy Ann Williams. Mr. Howell was fondly referred to as 'Paps was a devoted son, brother, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to garden, fish and hunt with the Doe Boys Hunting Club of Dubach, LA., which started originally in Corinth, LA. Mr. Howell's favorite vacation spot was Apple Springs, TX, where he went fishing with his brother and Charlie Brown who nicknamed him 'Rover. He worked at Ludlow as a tow motor operator and retired after 42 years. Mr. Howell was preceded death by his parents; wife, Nancy Ann Williams Howell of 43 years; son, Thomas Lane Howell; and brother, Eugene Howell. He is survived by his daughter, Delorus Menere of Quitman, LA; two sons, David Wayne Howell of Dubach, LA, and Joe Kevin Howell of Homer, LA; sister, Carol Ann Williams of Kokomo, IN; brother James Henry Howell and wife Glenda of Ruston, LA; eight grandchildren, Lynn, Karen, Tommy, Mary, Austin, Caitlin, Dylan and Sue Ann; ten great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Howell's family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Salmon, Camile Wise, St. Joseph Hospice, RN Rhonda Shively, Christian Sebastian and Sissy Waring for the care and compassion shown during our father's final days. Pallbearers were Dale Roberts, Andy Roberts, Jason Williams, Joe Jeffers, Frank Jeffers, and Michael Williams. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Doe Boys Hunting Club.
