Thomas Eugene Cook
A graveside service for Thomas Eugene Cook will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery, Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana.
Thomas was born on March 7, 1942 to Abner Wesley and Alice Fairleigh Cook in Natchez, Mississippi. He passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Abner Cook, Jr.; sister, Beverly Cook and nephew, Randall Cook. He is survived by his nephews, Doug Cook, Brad Cook and Wes Cook and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.
Thomas worked as a nurse anesthetist in the United States Army for 26 years and served two tours in Vietnam. After retirement, he was active at Broadmoor Baptist Church where he especially enjoyed working with children. He will always be remembered for telling great stories.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 1250 Poydras St. Room 200, New Orleans, LA 70113.
