Thomas Aaron Balzrette

Shreveport, LA - Thomas Aaron Balzrette age 63, passed away on March 1, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Balzrette was born to James Minton Balzrette, Sr. and Nita Marie Cole Balzrette Jacks on February 26, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was very involved in the Youth Groups at his church, Shreve City Baptist Church. He played the piano for numerous church and nursing homes. Piano was his true love. Mr. Balzrette was preceded in death by his brothers, James Minton Balzrette, Jr. and John David Balzrette; sister, Margaret Ann Flowers; and stepfather, Morris Jacks. He is survived by his father, James Balzrette Sr. and wife Gwen; mother, Nita Jacks; sisters, Deborah Gallien and husband John, Christina Sandifer and husband Bert; nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Shreve City Baptist Church, 2810 Knight Street. Shreveport, LA. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Brother Gene Nix will be officiating the service. Graveside services will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave, Shreveport, LA. The family would like to give thanks to everyone that has helped, prayed and visited over the years.
