Theresa Ann Jones Martin

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Theresa Ann Jones Martin, 69, will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Christon Duke.

Theresa was born on August 19, 1956, to William Dale Jones and Tommie Lynn Robinson Jones in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Theresa had a heart of gold and a deeply selfless spirit, always putting others before herself. She loved her family and friends dearly and had a special affection for animals of all kinds. Creative and hardworking, she spent her weekends at the farmers market selling her homemade jellies, jams, salsa, and other treats she crafted throughout the week. It was a place she truly loved, surrounded by friends who became like family. Multi‑talented and always willing to lend a hand, Theresa volunteered at the 4‑H fair, where she took photos and helped wherever she was needed. She cherished her time there and the joy it brought her.

Theresa enjoyed music of all kinds, especially rock, and found peace in sewing and baking. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Martin, in 2004, and together they shared 22 years of devoted marriage filled with partnership, laughter, and countless memories. Theresa’s kindness, creativity, and generous heart touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the lives she brightened along the way.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, William Dale Jones and Tommie Lynn Robinson Jones. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Kenneth Martin; her sisters, Brenda Atkins and Janice Ross. Her legacy will live on by her daughter, Trisha Adams; and her granddaughter, Kassidy Adams. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Carey Martin and wife, Cathy, and their children, Mary, Molly, James, Cody, and Callen; and Katie Washington and husband, Robert, and their children, Keisha and KeAndre, Julie Hall and husband, Perry, and their children, Ann, Trey, and Austin. Theresa leaves behind many treasured nieces and nephews who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
