Funeral services honoring the life Terry Jo Hawsey, "Teri", will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel in Logansport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Lee McClintock. A visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel in Logansport, LA on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Teri was born on February 8, 1960 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Will Davis Fowler and Nancy Jo Shiftlett Fowler. She entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Preceding Teri in death are her parents; and her son, Brandon Meadows. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ernest Leo Hawsey of Logansport, LA; Her son, Chris Bordelon of Keithville, LA; Her daughter, Ashlee Blunt and husband Raynard of Stonewall, LA; Her step-daughters, Catrina Dupuis and husband Randy of New Iberia, LA, Melissa Mayhorn and husband Chris of Logansport, LA; Sister, Kym Fowler of Austin, TX; Brothers, Billy Fowler and wife Deedy of Alexandria, LA, Robert Fowler and wife Karie of Grand Junction, CO; Grandchildren, Mathew Hughes, Leeanna Hughes, August Blunt, Brady Blunt, Raylee Blunt, and one on the way; Great-Grandchildren, Hadley Hughes Peek, Liam Lovelady, and one on the way. With a host of other family and friends.
Teri was a compassionate and active member in her community and was involved in several organizations throughout the years. Those include Krewe of Aquarius, Compassionate Friends, Logansport Christmas Committee, River City Fest, and T-Ball coach. She worked 18 years as the Logansport's Children's librarian. She was always there for others with a helping hand, no matter what. She always made sure everyone had what they needed and provided to those who didn't. Being a Nana was Teri's prize possession, she loved all of her babies near and far. Teri will be missed dearly, and leaves behind a legacy on how to love and give unselfishly. She will always hold a special place in our heart.
