Teresa Ann Chelette

Funeral services for Teresa Ann Guin Chelette, 77, will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery with a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mark Watson. Teresa was born on September 22, 1944 to Willie George Guin and Frances Mary Guin in Castor, Louisiana and passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Shreveport. Teresa was a resident of Keithville. She was the owner of Papaw's Southern Fried Chicken. She was a devoted wife for 59½ years to the love of her life, Waymon. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and Gigi to her great-grandchildren. She loved gardening her flowers and was an avid reader that loved to play games on her kindle. Teresa was a hard worker and caregiver to everyone. She was one of the strongest women you would ever want to meet. She loved going to concerts and shopping with her children. She taught catechism classes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a foster mom and loved her family to the fullest. Teresa is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Waymon Chelette; and brothers, Jackie Guin and Jimmy Guin. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Wayne Chelette (Misty); daughters, Suzy Ivey ( J.W.), Bridget Chelette, Kim Stubblefield (George); grandchildren, Justin Ivey (Brittney), Stephen Keenan (Amanda), Heather Ivey, Brianna Chelette (Dustin), Eli Stubblefield (Kristen), Anthony Miciotto (Lindsey), Megan, Railey and Taylor Chelette, and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Emery and Jentry Ivey, Presley and Royal Keenan, Tate and Ronni Glotzbach, Wylder, Jayden, Kylen, Olivia and Sadie Jo; siblings, Jerry Guin, John Guin, Margaret Bolyer, Joseph Guin (Cathy). Honoring Teresa as pallbearers will be Mark Guin, Michael Bolyer, Stephen Keenan, Dean Guin, Justin Ivey and Mike Hightower.
